GOLDEN TICKET with “BONE MUSIC”

LENTICULAR (HOLOGRAM) COVERS

Both the physical CD and vinyl versions of this album come with a lenticular cover… which means that you get BOTH the “cowboy” and “indian” versions of the cover at the same time!
We bet you’ve seen it before — the lenticular flip effect combines two different images that change from one to the other as the angle of observation of the print changes… look at it one way – cowboy, look at it from the other direction – indian!
GLOW IN THE DARK VINYL
One of the records in the set is made of phosphorescent material — it actually glows in the dark. If you take it outside and let it absorb some sunlight, the record will glow.
CJ says he wanted the records to be turquoise in color to represent the earth, and he also wanted the sky and water to be represented, so when it glows, it turns different shades of brilliant blue, representing the sky and the water.

TITLES IN ENGLISH & CHEROKEE

With CJ being deeply rooted in the culture in Oklahoma, the Cherokee Nation tribe translated each of the song titles into their native tongue for CJ, and on the back of the record you’ll find not just each title in English and the corresponding Cherokee, but in the phonetic pronunciation of the Cherokee titles, too.
On Golden Ticket versions (1 in 5), inside the album you’ll find a sheet with the Cherokee alphabet, which is a copy that CJ bought for $1 while on a school trip as a kid.
PAYING RESPECT TO SUPPORTERS
Everybody who was part of making the record during the global pandemic in 2020 – those who donated at shows, online and elsewhere – CJ kept a record of all of that, and wanted to make sure he showed the deep gratitude he has by naming all of those folks on the back of the record.
“It takes a village,” says CJ, and especially since this record was made in the midst of the global pandemic and he wasn’t (just like all artists) able to tour like he normally would, paying respect to those who contributed financially to CJ’s music and this album was extremely important.

REAL GOLD ON EVERY ALBUM CENTER

Making and pressing the record and doing all the amazing things that CJ wanted to do on the record ended up being quite the learning experience. He wanted to put real 24 carat gold leaf on the center of each record, but gold interacts badly with nickel, which is used at the pressing plant… the nickel ended up blowing out the gold, so CJ — ever determined to do things in the exact way he wants them — ended up putting on the center of each and every vinyl record by hand, himself. That’s 4,000 times — 1,000 albums with 2 records in each, both sides.
AMERICAN MADE
All of the many parts of this album are American made. As a Veteran, that’s very important to CJ.
The vinyl records were pressed in Nashville, Tennessee, the lenticular covers were made in Dallas, Texas, just as every single piece of this album is made in the United States.
